Pair Skating
The ISU announces that the Single & Pair Skating Technical Committee, through an initiative supported by the ISU Development Program, is organizing an International Pair Skating Development Camp for Coaches and Pair Skaters in:
Berlin, Germany: April 7-12, 2025
The aim of the Camp is to develop Pair Skating to a high level and to introduce Pair Skating in new areas where it is not yet traditionally pursued. Top, world-class Coaches will moderate the Camp. A world-level ranked Pair team will be in attendance to assist. Daily off-ice classes will include ballet, lifts, relaxation/yoga, movement to music and the study of the Program Components. For a more personal learning effect, the experts will be available for one-to-one contact with participating Coaches.
The 2025 Pair Camp is designed for Novice and lower Junior-aged Pairs with the following requirements:
A Pair is eligible for participation who for:
- Novice Pairs: Has not reached the age of sixteen (16) for girls and eighteen (18) for boys in Pair Skating.
- Junior Pairs: Has not reached the age of twenty-one (21) for Women and of twenty-three (23) for Men in Pair Skating.
- Application deadline: Friday, January 31, 2025
Applications for the Camp, together with the required attachments (for Skaters and Coaches), should be forwarded to the ISU Secretariat with copies to Mr. Patrick Meier, member of the Single & Pair Skating Technical Committee and the Camp Coordinator, and Mr. Fabio Bianchetti, Chair of the Single & Pair Skating Technical Committee.

The ISU announces that the ISU Ice Dance Technical Committee, with the support of the ISU Development Program, is organizing International Ice Dance Development Training Camps for Ice Dance Couples (Junior and Novice age category) and their Coaches as outlined below.

An Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have reached the age of 13 but not the age of 21 by July 1 preceding the Camp. This corresponds to the ISU Junior age restrictions.
Novice age category ISU Ice Dance Development Camp
Dortmund, Germany, April 19 – 26, 2025
An Intermediate Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have not reached the age of 16 by July 1 preceding the Camp.
An Advanced Ice Dance Couple is eligible for participation if the Skaters have reached the age of 10 but not the age of 16 for Women and 18 for Men, by July 1 preceding the Camp.

Bangkok, Thailand, May 24-30, 2025
The aim of the Camp is to introduce and develop the Ice Dance discipline in new areas where it is not yet traditionally pursued, to teach the basic principles of Ice Dance to inexperienced Ice Dance Coaches and Single Skating Coaches who are interested in becoming Ice Dance Coaches in the future.
This Camp will also provide help in preparation for the seasons’ competitions for already established Ice Dance Couples. Coaches will find expert assistance in all topics concerning Ice Dance. For a more personal learning effect, the experts will be available for one to-one contact with participating Coaches. Daily off-ice classes will include lectures on basic Ice Dance technique. There will also be ballroom classes and guidance on how to partner and to manage Ice Dance Couples. On-ice sessions will concentrate on basic skating exercises, posture, dance holds, introduction to Pattern Dances and Required Elements.
The age of the Couples should be according to the current ISU age requirements for Novice and Junior Ice Dance Couples.
Application deadline: March 31, 2025
Applications for the Camp together with completed Appendices (Skaters and Coaches) must be sent to Mr. Maurizio Margaglio, Ice Dance Camp Coordinator, with copies to the ISU Secretariat, and to Mr. Shawn Rettstatt, Chair of the ISU Ice Dance Technical Committee.

The ISU Synchronized Skating Development Camp is designed for Junior aged participants of a Team with the following age requirements: A member of a Team is eligible for participation if the Skater has reached the age of 13 but not the age of 19 by July 1 preceding the Camp, which corresponds to the ISU Junior age restriction.
