Guidelines for ISU Events

The ISU Medical Guide and the General Hygienic Principles for ISU Events are published, and periodically reviewed by the Medical Commission, to assist local organizing committees in preparing a comprehensive medical program for ISU events and can be used for any other competition.

These documents provide a standard of medical care that enables all skaters to compete in a safe and healthy environment.

Updates to the documents are double-underlined.

The ISU Medical Commission focuses on the health and safety of the skaters. In this regard all physicians and allied health professionals are encouraged to participate in the ISU injury surveillance program. With the injury surveillance information, collected on-line through the ISU Medical Form, injury prevention strategies for the skaters can be better assessed.
