Wedding Bells in Hawaii

Madison Chock and Evan Bates, renowned American Ice Dance duo, celebrated a major personal milestone with their wedding in Hawaii. Known for their impeccable chemistry on the ice, they brought the same synchrony to their off-ice celebration. The event, set against a picturesque Hawaiian backdrop, was a highlight of the season for the Ice Dance community. It beautifully commemorated their partnership, blending their personal and professional lives in a stunning setting, much like their performances.

 

More Wedding spirit in the Figure Skating community 

The Figure Skating community recently celebrated the wedding of Carolane Soucisse and Shane Firus, the first Irish Ice Dance couple to compete at the World Championships. Their off-season ceremony was a joyful event, marking both a personal and professional milestone. As pioneers representing Ireland at the 2024 ISU World Championships in Montreal, their union added an extra layer of excitement to their journey. The festive gathering brought together friends, family, and fans, beautifully blending their personal and professional lives.


 Wedding Season in Full Swing 

The Figure Skating community is abuzz with wedding celebrations, recently highlighted by Liam Firus and Kirsten Moore-Towers' nuptials. Following his brother Shane's wedding, Liam, an accomplished Figure Skater, tied the knot with Kirsten, a celebrated Canadian Pair Skater and three-time Olympian. Their wedding not only unites two prominent athletes but also adds to the romantic atmosphere prevalent in the Figure Skating world. Family, friends, and fans gathered to celebrate the couple, whose commitment shines both on and off the ice.

 

Baby on the way 

Irene Schouten, a celebrated Dutch Speed Skater, has delighted her fans and the Speed Skating community with some joyous personal news: she is expecting a baby. Known for her remarkable prowess on the ice, Irene made the announcement recently, sharing this wonderful new chapter of her life with her supporters. 

 

Charity Golf Event 

 

The Haydenettes Alumni Association recently held its 2nd annual Dynasty Cup, a golf event that doubles as a fundraiser for the Haydenettes Synchronized Skating club. Alumni and supporters showcased their golf skills and rekindled friendships, all while raising funds to support the club’s training and development initiatives. This event not only bolsters the bonds within the alumni community but also reinforces their dedication to the Haydenettes' legacy.

 

Speed Skating Workshop 

 

Joji Kato, a distinguished Japanese Speed Skater, recently served as a lecturer at a Speed Skating workshop at Akita Station. Over two days, he imparted his considerable expertise to young skaters, focusing on skill development and refinement. The workshop aimed to nurture the next generation by offering insights into the techniques and training that have made Kato a top competitor in the sport.

 

Carrying a heavy weight

Jutta Leerdam and Jake Paul enjoy teasing each other. Recently, Leerdam posted a video on Instagram showing herself pulling a sled, with the weight load humorously including Paul's newly acquired bulk.

 

Short track training Camp

The Dutch team is back at their annual training camp in Bormio, and one of their favorite activities is biking! This year, they tried out a new 360° camera, capturing their speed, the amazing views, and more!
